Types of Flanges

• Weld Neck Flanges

Application: Weld neck flanges are mainly used on heat coupling of pipes when there is possibility of expansion of the section while bending stress on the coupling.

• Slip on Flanges

Application: These are used in quick assembly to save the cost; these are also used in less strict requirements in terms of length of pipe section.

• Socket Welding Flanges

Application: Socket welding flanges are recommended for orifice flanges. These work as substitute for slip-on flanges in the cases where the diameter of the tube is very small and working pressure is very high.

• Lap joint Flanges

Application: The lap joint flanges are primarily used when quick assembly and disassembly of pipeline section is required under limited working pressure.

• Threaded Flanges

Application: These flanges are used in special requirements to work under high temperature and pressure, making sure no welding joint is made at the assembly.
